More About Our Company
Mollia is a long time lover of dance.
At 5 she ran around the yard in her mother’s polyester nightgown with a scarf flowing behind as she played “Isadora.” At 13, as captain of the cheerleading squad, it was her job to choreograph the pom pom routines for the pep rally. She made artful pom pom experiences to the likes of Def Leppard and Ozzy.
At 17 she discovered Modern Dance and asked all the cheerleaders if they might like to try something different. This time, the school gym saw bare feet, black leotards and new wave music.
At 18 Mollia was off to Bennington College to study where many of Modern Dance’s pioneers created. At 19 she was in NY, studying at the Martha Graham School of Dance.
After then spending the next chunk of years in the theatre, Mollia finally discovered Nia and all it has to offer. She is now a certified Blue Belt Nia teacher. She was the inspiration behind the wild ride of Rock Nia at Nia Underground and continues on with this delicious and rewarding practice of Nia.
